Job Purpose
Overall Calibration of Diesel & Gas engines for P & E development, Environmental calibration, EGR governing, start-stop etc., Calibration at Genset/Tractor level, Integration of EATS, Diagnostic strategy management etc.
Skill sets required
Engine performance & emissions development, DoE/Test matrix, Hardware optimisation, Knowledge of various EAT Devices, Optimisation of EAT systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for :
a. Planning & execution of engine & application level calibration activities inline with project plans.
b. Development of DOE/test matrix for a development program.
d. Working closely with P & E testing team for finalising DoE/ Test matrix.
e. Handling of dataset at various levels and various versions.
f. Interacting closely with FIS and EAT suppliers to resolve calibration & P & E optimisation related concerns
g. Releasing appropriate datasets and maintaining the release records.
h. Supporting production and field teams in case of issues reported.
i. Ensuring individual deveopment path for individual team members for skill upgradation.

j. Maintaining history of failures observed and CAPA for the same.
k. Failure analysis using various tools such as Ishikawa diagram, FTA, 5-Why analysis and other techniques.
l. Carrying out performance appraisals of team members.
