1. **Areas of Responsibilities** * Design and development for FPGA and FPGA-based SoCs used in power electronic products. * Develop and implement FPGA designs in accordance with the defined requirements and specifications. * Perform simulation activities including timing analysis, behavioral, and functional simulations. * Develop test benches and other test tools as needed to complete verification of FPGA designs. * Be a member of global team in software development activities in the embedded software area for Drives * Ability to understand requirements and translate them into suitable solution architecture. * Help to estimate and prioritize tasks and track progress in any development methodology. 2. **Key tasks** * Overall design, development and testing of the software modules * Estimation of development efforts * Reviews of the implemented features * Reviews of requirements and other relevant documents * Setup and maintain development infrastructure * Ensure adherence to development processes & various tools 3. **Minimum requirements to working experience** * A minimum of 5+ years of experience in FPGA development required in leading large design efforts and coordinating project teams. * Demonstrated skill in developing original designs with VHDL or Verilog for FPGAs and/or FPGA-based SoCs. * Strong understanding of FPGA design and architectural concepts as well as the integration with both hardware and software. * Experience with Xilinx family of SoCs and associated interfaces (AXI4 bus, transceivers, etc.) is preferred. * Demonstrated experience using C or C++ * Strong understanding of tools and methodologies used in the context of FPGA development and integration. * Experience developing testbenches and applying simulation techniques including timing analysis, etc. * Working knowledge of electronics development including schematic and PCBA layout tools. * Experience in using electronics lab equipment to develop/troubleshoot low-level drivers and hardware integration for interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, etc. * Experience in developing embedded software for various micro controllers. * Strong knowledge on basic characteristics of the digital designing instruments. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
