Job description
-Collaborate with the production team in order to support site SCM plans and to manage day-to-day purchasing of non-strategic raw materials, packaging materials and labels.
-Drive cross functional coordination with departments like Planning , QA, QC, Production, Finance, Stores, Direct Category managers, on a day to day basis for managing site requirements, ensuring production continuity and effective inventory management
-Periodically review supplier metrics i.e. lead time, quality, pricing and conduct periodic vendor meetings for managing the same
-Support in routine purchases, follow ups, and confirming delivery schedules to Planning team by expediting orders as necessary
-Responsible for contract negotiations, cost control and technical agreement with regular vendors for routine and leverage items, with support from Category Managers
-Support in invoice booking and payment follow-ups
