- Solid knowledge of Power Electronics Fundamentals, Power Switching Devices (MOSFET/ IGBT), Switched mode power supplies, Magnetics & Gate Driver Design.
- Thorough understanding of high voltage (HV) electronics design for AC and DC units (Voltages:400V–1200V,Current 200A–800A)
- Detailed device level circuit simulation knowhow; understanding of EMC-behavior in power electronic units is an advantage
- Laboratory experience and/or hands-on power electronic product development
- Experience with some of the simulation tools such as ANSYS, PSpice, Simetrix, Simplis
- Experience in FMEA, DFMEA, FMEDA & DOORS.
- Knowhow on automotive hardware lifecycle is an advantage.
- HiL Box Design & Testing
- Hardware-in-loop (HiL) Box design [ Referring High Voltage DCDC design & designing a Low Voltage HiL Box which emulates the function but operable in Low voltage ]
- Simulations & proto development for quick testings
- Hardware-Software interface (HSI)design, Schematic design, Layout design (Altium) & BOM preparation
- Coordination of BOM procurements with HiL Box construction Team and identification of alternatives where necessary
- Troubleshooting faults & restoration of failed HiL Boxes either at unit level or at Test Bench.
Competence for HiL Box design & Testing:
- Power electronic circuits & Converter topologies design
- Transformers, Current transformer, Current & Voltage sensors knowhow
- Interfacing with Microcontrollers
- Power supply circuits & Filter circuits
- Device control and test with CAN protocol environment
- Tools : CANOE, XCP, INCA environment, XETKs
