Cisco seeks a Technical Consulting Engineer with expertise on Cisco’s products and solutions to join Cisco’s Solution Support team team. You will be working closely with extended regional teams to deliver Business critical services to high value customers. In this role, you will be responsible for resolving issues with Cisco products and will gain insight on the detailed functionality of Cisco products and customers with all distributed elements of the service chain. The ideal candidate demonstrates an aptitude and appetite to resolve customer issues and for learning new technologies, evidenced by the ability to expand upon core technical knowledge on Cisco products and technologies. Desired Skill Sets
• 3 years’ experience with Mobility related technology
• Strong knowledge in IP routing and switching is required
• Knowledge on Virtualization technologies.
• 3G/4G mobile packet core (LTE, UMTS/CDMA/GSM/WiFi offloading.)
• Working knowledge on SGSN, SMF,UPF,MME, GGSN, SGW , PGW, EPDG, SAMOG, IPSG is a must.
• Knowledge on various 2G/3G and 4G call flows is a must.
• Strong Knowledge on the 3GPP specifications is a must.
• Applications such as Policy, IMS & VoLTE OR Experience in design and deployment of Wireless technology for various business segments.
• Openstack, SDN and NFV is must.
• 5G knowledge(SMF,UPF,AMF) is preferred
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide phone/email consultation to independently debug complex product problems reported by Cisco customer.
• Focal point for large account network problem resolution.
• Provide technical support to customers for Cisco technologies, products, and/or solutions and resolve complex problems with end to end ownership.
• Replicate complex technical problems in lab environment and quickly identify root causes
• Share acquired knowledge with the technical community at large by contributing to various Cisco’s internal and external forums.
• Work very closely with Cisco’s engineering team to resolve as well as enhance Cisco’s product lines.
• Work and demonstrate the spirit of one team in letter and spirit and act as Customer’s advocate and Own the end to end customer experience.
