Key Responsibilities of this role include:• Autonomous system and software design• Undertake a variety of tasks and be able to work in a multiple disciplinaryteam, to mentor junior SW engineers and to clearly communicate findingsthrough presentations and reporting.• Understand complex autonomous systems design and regulatory constraintsassociated with autonomous systems reliability and trustworthiness byunderstanding the application of existing standards and regulations for thedesign of autonomous systems.• Assess and guarantee within the design the required level of integrity toapply for each level of the software lifecycle according to industry acceptedsoftware standards such as IEEE 1012, the V&V process to software life cycleprocess standard such as ISO/IEC 12207.• Work on machine behavioural modelling, prediction, decision making, semanticmodelling, reasoning, vision and perception systems, and multi-agenttechnologies.• Support the intelligent software design and development taking into accountthe extended functional specifications required to support an embeddedsoftware development to minimise the re-work in generating a software stack.• Derive Key Performance Software Indices (KPSI) to support Quality of Serviceand API effectiveness sensitivity analysis, whilst ensuring overall softwarestack integrity.• Should liaise with thewider global teams within the organisation.Previous Experience:• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Automotive Industry with experiencein software design and architecture• Knowledge of Software Architecture and design tools and languages(UML/SysML)• Working knowledge of object-oriented design and development skills• Ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives• Experience and significant knowledge in designing APIs and Software ScalableArchitectures• Experience in development of systems based on ROSS OS• Experience in Autosar (Classic/adaptive) will be added advantage• Extensive experience in domains such as CAN, Diagnostics(SW update),Lifecycle Management etc.,• Detailed working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Proven experience in mentoring people• Experienceof the use of DOORS as requirement management tool• Hands-on experience in programming languages like C/C++/Java
