JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

We are recruiting for a senior Umbraco developer for our Product Development team based out of Chennai. Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading end-to-end full stack Umbraco projects, including backend and frontend development

Coordinating with UK Product Management teams and offshore Technology - Product Development teams in Chennai on a daily basis to build, maintain and support our platforms that are based on Umbraco

You are expected to have a very strong base in Umbraco programming, including module and component development, applying design to themes and creating custom modules and widgets. You will be working closely with the backend API teams to define and negotiate the API contracts for the backend hooks, as well as supporting the existing Umbraco instances for uptime, reliability and performance, as well as being the primary on-call contact for escalations and fixes related to Umbraco.

You should have a strong experience in designing and working with the MVC framework and n-tier architectures (UI layer, business logic layer and data access layer) and have good experience in applying HTML and CSS to the .NET code, including optimizing delivery for mobile devices including smartphones and tablets.

You are also expected to have a good working knowledge and experience on creating, managing and optimizing Umbraco instances on the cloud, including related optimizations for security, performance and reliability. Experience working with Azure and CDNs such as Cloudflare would be necessary for you to manage our Umbraco platforms.

A strong working knowledge of Web APIs and JS frameworks such as Angular, React, etc. will be an added advantage.

Skill Set

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or above
Well versed with Umbraco CMS (9 preferred), .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, Ajax, JavaScript frameworks, MVC, Web API, SQL Server, Stored Procedures, HTML, CSS, and web- services.
Experience in desktop & mobile applications will be an added advantage.
Total Experience: The candidate must have 7–12 years of relevant experience in a similar role with minimum 5 years of experience working as a Umbraco developer.
Excellent communication is a must

Experience with Global clientele is preferable
Inquisitive of global design trends
Ability to work well with DevOps and Agile teams is a must.
