Designation :Vice President-Finance

Location: Ahmedabad

Reporting :Group CFO

Job Description:

With the functional reporting to the Group Chief Finance Officer and key member of Finance Executive Committee, the VP-Finance will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in the Finance & Reporting function of NBFC and its technology parent. He/she will be responsible for managing and overseeing the work of the Finance Department, including Budget, Forecasting, Strategic Planning, Investor presentation and information, Accounting & Payments, and Procurement, while adhering to all related generally accepted accounting principles, tax and regulatory laws, rules, and regulations to adequately and accurately reflect the financial position of the group at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion excellent management of financial resources, promoting probity, efficiency, high performance, and overall value for money
  • Monitor strategic analysis and strategic planning, including leading to the development of the annual- and medium-term financial plans ensuring they reflect the organization’s priorities and strategic objectives
  • Review financial and performance data, and provide financial insights/advice
  • Create a culture which empowers budget holders and staff, and supports the delivery of value-for money services, including reporting on benchmark information and key cost drivers
  • Reinforce internal controls to ensure that all operations are monitored and controlled against budget, compliance with organization’s policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Complete appropriate statutory/regulatory returns and produce financial statements in accordance with the statutory legislation, practices, and deadlines
  • Nurture excellent relationships with the External Auditors
  • Provide effective leadership and operational management of the finance team, ensuring that staff adopt the values and expected behaviours of the organization, to deliver a high-performance culture
  • Influence decision-making where appropriate to achieve budget, targets, and strategies
