This person is responsible to handle overall operations of US Taxation Team including managing the team, Client delivery Operations, signing return.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and file individual tax returns i.e. Form 1040
- Review and file business tax returns i.e. Form 1065, 1120 and 1120S
- Research on various complex tax topics on case to case basis
- Keeping up to date with changes in major tax laws, both at IRS and state level
- Conduct tax training for new joinees in tax department as well as conducting regular training for existing staff on major tax developments
- Draft replies for Tax Notices and compiling required documents, including calling state tax authorities as well as IRS, in case needed
- Prepare billings for tax services
- Develop systems and processes to expand tax department operations
- Preparation and filing of 1099 Forms for various accounting clients at the yearend
- Assist with queries on sales tax, payroll taxes and other indirect taxes, as and when needed
Additional Responsibilities:
- Should be ready to work odd and long hours during tax season
Educational qualifications preferred
- Category: Chartered Accountant/CPA

Required Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of US tax software such as Lacerte, CCH Axcess, Drake, ProSystem etc.
- Well versed with Excel
- Knowledge of US accounting software such as Quickbooks, Intacct and/or Xero will be an added advantage
