MES Engineer with a strong background in assembly line operations and test shop systems to support, enhance, and maintain our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, integrating MES with machines, PLCs, RFID, testers, and shop-floor systems, ensuring seamless data flow, traceability, and process control.
Key Responsibilities:
MES System Implementation & Support:
Configure and maintain MES applications for assembly line and test shop operations.
manage MES logic for process interlock, part tracking, and station validation.
Monitor and troubleshoot MES data flow between machines, PLCs, and central databases.
Assembly Line & Test Shop Integration:
Integrate MES with RFID, test benches, screwdrivers, dispensers, and PLC-based machines In assembly line
Ensure proper station-level interlocks and process sequencing using MES logic.
Collaborate with automation and IT teams for test result logging and real-time feedback loops.
Able to mange Sample shop ( Offline programing and validation of new Controllers )
Traceability & Data Management:
Design and maintain full part traceability through barcode/RFID tracking and MES logs.
Enable data capture and reporting from ICT, FCT, vision systems, and torque tools.
System Validation & Compliance:
Support MES validation for new lines/products including user requirement specs (URS), functional specs, and test reports.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO standards for traceability, process control, and documentation.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements through MES analytics and shop floor insights.
Optimize cycle time, line efficiency, and quality feedback via MES dashboards and alerts.
User Support & Training:
Provide user support, troubleshooting, and training for line operators, quality, and production teams.
Create and maintain MES work instructions and manuals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering – Mechanical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Computer Science.
8+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing (assembly + test shop) with MES responsibility.
Strong understanding of assembly process flow and test equipment logic.
