Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design & Delivery
- Design and deliver engaging MYP English lessons aligned with IB standards (Grades 6–10).
- Promote language mastery, literary analysis, and critical thinking through inquiry-based learning.
- Instruction & Classroom Management
- Use varied and inclusive teaching strategies to address diverse learning styles.
- Create a positive, collaborative, and respectful classroom culture.
- Assessment
- Develop and implement formative and summative assessments that align with MYP objectives.
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide timely feedback to students.
- Student Support & Well-being
- Monitor student progress and provide academic and pastoral support.
- Engage with parents, counselors, and other stakeholders to promote student development.
- Professional Growth & Collaboration
- Participate in ongoing IB professional development and school-based training.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and support school initiatives.
- Safeguarding & Inclusion
- Uphold safeguarding policies and foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Support the school’s mission to provide equal opportunities for all learners.
Educational Background
- Master's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- IB MYP training and certification preferred.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience, ideally in an IB or international setting.
Instructional Skills
- Strong knowledge of MYP framework, including Approaches to Learning (ATL), global contexts, and interdisciplinary planning.
