Role:
The Mining Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of coal mining operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving sustainable mining practices. The role involves handling forest and environmental clearances, land acquisition, local community engagement, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities while ensuring smooth public relations and government liaison.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory & Compliance:
Manage forest clearances and environmental approvals as per regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with mining laws, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory bodies for necessary approvals.
Land Acquisition & Community Engagement:
Oversee land acquisition processes, ensuring legal and ethical compliance.
Negotiate and manage compensation for local villages affected by mining activities.
Handle local village CSR activities, ensuring alignment with community needs and company policies.
Maintain strong public relations with local stakeholders, government officials, and community leaders.
Mining Operations & Sustainability:
Ensure smooth execution of coal mining operations in forest areas while minimizing environmental impact.
Implement sustainable mining practices and promote responsible resource utilization.
Address and resolve any local disputes or grievances related to mining activities.
Stakeholder & Government Liaison:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, forest officials, and environmental agencies.
Coordinate with NGOs, environmental groups, and policy makers to ensure responsible mining practices.
Represent the company in public forums, government meetings, and industry associations.
