- FUNCTION: Controls Project Engineer II
- Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and commission PLC and SCADA software for baggage handling systems.
- Collaborate with Hardware Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Site Installation Teams, R&D, High-Level Controls, Integration Managers, Project Managers, and end customers.
- Ensure proper system engineering, facilitate smooth integration, and achieve successful project handover.
- Participate in on-site commissioning and support activities.
- Maintain documentation while complying with project standards and procedures.
Job Description
- 2–8 years of experience working with Siemens PLC systems (S7-300 and S7-1500 series)
- Proficient in HMI and SCADA systems.
- Practical knowledge of I/O bus systems such as ASI, Profibus, and Profinet.
- Hands-on experience in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens.
- Experience in both project engineering and commissioning.
- Understanding of system requirements and the complete project lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to work independently and take initiative.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in multicultural environments.
- Interest in gaining domain knowledge and applying it effectively.
- Ability to collaborate with and maintain professional relationships with global project stakeholders.
- Knowledge of material handling systems is a plus.
