Assisting in selecting cables, ropes, pulleys, wrenches, blocks and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved• Managing: Attachment of pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams & ceilings Attachment of load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes and chains to crane hook• Giving direction to crane operator for moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled using hand signals, loudspeaker, two-wayradio• Administering splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings• Performing a minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment• Observing flat diagrams and understanding how they would look as a solid object• Comparing and reviewing differences in size, shape and form of lines figures and objects• Monitoring the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding; ensuring that scaffolding properly and safely assembled• Estimating total number of scaffolding sections that will be required to complete the job• Deciding number of employers that will be required to assemble scaffolding• Spearheading timely breakdown and removal of the scaffolding once the job has been completed• Protecting job site and workers assembling scaffolding from injury• Completing reports of detail performance of the crew and submitted to higher authority on a daily basis• Supervising& performing activities; executing preventive &breakdown activities• Directing rotating &static equipment; inspecting tasks progress & final completion to ensure timely and quality job execution• Meeting with maintenance technicians on a regularly scheduled basis to review assignments• Performing toolbox to resolutions; performing maintenance equipment with high reliability & availability Highlights:• Successfully executed plant expansion / modification /upgradation projects such as Madras refinery, turnkey, petroleum project
