TasksAs National Oncology Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing the national sales strategy, driving sales performance, fostering strong cross-functional partnerships, and ensuring compliance. Specific responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing the national oncology sales strategy aligned with business unit goals.
- Setting and cascading national sales targets to regional teams.
- Monitoring regional performance, identifying areas for improvement, and driving corrective actions.
- Collaborating with marketing and medical affairs teams to ensure alignment between sales execution and brand plans.
- Forecasting and managing national sales budgets and resource allocation.
- Ensuring adherence to ethical promotion practices and regulatory compliance.
- Coaching, developing, and mentoring regional sales leadership.
- Identifying and addressing the training needs of regional sales managers.
- Leading, motivating, and retaining a high-performing sales team.
- Optimizing resource allocation to maximize scientific engagement and account potential.
- Representing the sales function in business unit strategic planning, budget reviews, and audits.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Graduate degree in Life Sciences or Pharmacy; MBA from a top-tier institution preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 5 years of pan-India team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of the oncology therapeutic area.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.
- Experience in P&L management is desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
