Identify stress critical lines from P&ID and line list. ▪ Review of piping routing from stress and flexibility point of view. ▪ Decide span for supports based on code as well manufacturers recommendation from manufacturer for non-metallic piping. ▪ Perform piping flexibility analysis (static and dynamic) for critical piping systems during preliminary design and detailed design phase of Project. ▪ Perform analysis for sustained, thermal and multiple operating cases, occasional (viz winds, seismic, relief, hammer etc.) ▪ Perform pipe stress analysis for different equipment like Compressors, Centrifugal Pumps, tanks, exchangers, heaters, columns, etc. ▪ Provide pipe loading information to Civil/Structure ▪ Resolve high pipe loads on equipment nozzles & high secondary stresses in piping ▪ Selection of spring hangers, struts for pipe supports. ▪ Prepare / Review Expansion bellow Specification ▪ Locate and identify pipe supports on isometrics along with type of supports ▪ Evaluation of local stresses via code cases like N318, N392, and WRC107/297. ▪ Review and sign-off piping isometrics considering flexibility and supporting ▪ Prepare complete documentation of the stress analysis and support design. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Function Task description ▪ Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data from suppliers ▪ Provide technical direction and assigns work to engineers, designers, and drafters who assist on specific assignments. ▪ Resolve site related issues arising out of stress / flexibility analysis. ▪ Coordinate with vendors for Stress / Surge analysis.
