- Identify, develop, and onboard new suppliers for cost, quality, and capacity
- competitiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers for long-term
- partnerships.
- Regularly evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, price, and service
- parameters.
- Develop a robust vendor rating and review system.
Cost Control & Negotiation
- Lead price negotiations, annual rate contracts, and payment terms with suppliers.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality and
- delivery.
- Keep track of market price trends, commodity rates, and alternate sourcing
- opportunities.
Inventory and Material Management
- Collaborate with stores, production, and finance teams to monitor and control
- stock levels, lead times, and stock ageing.
- Minimize excess and obsolete stock while ensuring no production stoppages.
- Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with production, development, quality, finance, and sales teams to
- align procurement activities with operational requirements.
- Support new part developments with RFQs, cost estimates, and vendor
