Responsibilities:
• This role supports the general ledger process with varying degrees of supervision and self-initiative, develops, implements, and works on accounting, reporting and analytical activities.
• This role will also support the effective processing and accumulation of financial data and its timely presentation to stakeholders.
• This role provides back-up support for all key functions within the department (e.g., Banking processes, Accounting & Reporting)
• Records and reconciles daily / weekly activity. Supports subledger and general ledger validation processes.
• Processes accounting entries, closing activities, account reconciliations and /or other operational task as assigned.
• Handles problems of medium complexity. Communicates with management when a problem exists and recommends alternatives for problem resolution.
• Self-motivated and works under the general guidance of a manager in planning, organizing, implementing and carrying out accounting and month-end projects, new processes and procedures, including department, center or corporate level strategies.
• Presents ideas for ongoing process improvements to Managers and initiates, implements and measures such initiatives upon sign-off.
• Provides cross-functional coordination and subject matter expertise for Shared Services departments and IT in the development, testing and implementation of projects to ensure effectiveness and proper adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
• Works under the supervision of managers to develop and enhance metrics and other reporting and monitoring tools as needed.
• Finds and analyzes sub-ledger and general ledger data to find and correct any financial discrepancies.

• Advanced user of Microsoft Office Tools.
Experience/Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 4- 6 years’ experience in roles with increasing responsibility AND analytical decision making
