We are looking to hire a young and experienced lawyer who has 4-6 years of experience with renowned corporate houses and consulting firms to join our team in Bengaluru. Candidates with manufacturing experience shall be given preference.
Key responsibilities:
Statutory/ Regulatory Compliance:
In depth and demonstrated experience of all the compliances applicable at manufacturing units such as Factory’s Act, BOCW, Environment Act, Health & Safety, Employment & HR, Legal Metrology, Weights and Measures etc.
Regular mapping of legal compliances and implementation legal compliance tool, across manufacturing units including third party manufacturers.
Conduct period meetings with business teams, plan & execute compliance audit as per checklist and guide team on updating check lists.
Identify gaps in compliance and suggest solutions to internal stakeholders, implement action-plan for compliance in time bound manner.
Demonstrated experience in managing licenses, making amendments to existing licenses depending on business needs.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company’s operations and advise the management accordingly.
Contract Drafting and Management:
Collaborate with the Procurement team to define and negotiate vendor contract terms and conditions ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
Support business teams on drafting, vetting, negotiations and finalization of commercial/business contracts such as LOI, MOU, NDA, Sales and Purchase Agreement, Sub-contractor agreements, Service contracts, consultancy agreements, construction contracts, lease deeds, man-power service agreements etc.
Drive implementation of contract management system and other legal tools across business units and guide peers in standardization of contracts.
Property Due Diligence:
Conduct due diligence for property transactions, assessing risks and coordinating with stakeholders for documentation, as per business needs.
Advisory:
Provide proactive legal support to business teams on a day-to-day basis as per business requirement, for example any expansion projects, marketing campaigns, sustainability projects, etc.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Professional qualification in Law from a reputed law college.
Relevant experience of a minimum 4-6 years.
Good analytical, writing and communication skills, with the ability to navigate a large organization and collaborate cross functionally.
Experience and the ability to priorities, multi-task, meet deadlines and maintain flexibility in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
