support for uninterrupted plant operations. Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Techno-Commercial Operations
 Lead end-to-end procurement of engineering spares, consumables, capital goods, and services.
 Evaluate technical specifications and commercial terms of RFQs, tenders, and bids.
 Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors and service providers.
 Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and statutory guidelines.
2. Inventory & Stores Management
 Oversee efficient stores operations including receiving, inspection, stocking, and issuing of materials.
 Monitor and optimize inventory levels (min-max control, reorder levels).
 Conduct regular stock audits and ensure proper documentation (GRNs, SRNs, MIS).
 Manage scrap disposal and obsolete material clearance.
3. Vendor Development & Management
 Develop, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and service providers.
 Conduct vendor performance reviews periodically.
 Explore alternate sourcing and cost-saving opportunities.
4. Contract Management
 Draft and manage technical contracts (O&M, AMC, manpower, service contracts, EPC, etc.).
 Ensure timely renewal, extension, or closure of contracts with proper documentation.
 Coordinate with legal and finance for contract vetting and dispute resolution.
5. Budgeting & Cost Control Prepare annual budgets for procurement and stores.
 Monitor purchase costs and ensure adherence to budget.
 Identify areas for cost reduction through better negotiation and sourcing strategies.
6. Compliance & Audits
 Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, environmental, and company policies.
 Prepare for and coordinate internal/external audits (CAG, statutory, ISO, etc.).
 Implement corrective actions from audit findings. Required Qualifications & Experience:
 B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering preferred).
 MBA in Supply Chain / Materials Management (desirable).
 18–25 years of experience in procurement, techno-commercial functions, and materials management in a thermal power plant ,Cement or heavy industry.
 Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP systems. Skills & Competencies:
 Strong techno-commercial acumen and contract management skills.
 Sound understanding of power plant operations and equipment.
 Leadership and team management capabilities.
 Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
 Knowledge of taxation (GST), import procedures, and statutory compliance.
