<p>Job Title: Sr. Manager / Manager<br />Department: Engineering – Power Industry/HV/LV electrical system<br />Functional Area: EPC -Engineering<br />Reports to : AGM- Projects<br />Location: Hyderabad<br /><br />Job Summary<br /><br />To lead and manage engineering activities for EPC projects in the power sector, ensuring timely, cost-effective and compliant delivery of engineering outputs across thermal, renewable and balance-of-plant systems. The role involves coordination with cross-functional teams, consultants, vendors and clients to support successful project execution.<br /><br />Qualifications & Certifications:  B. Tech in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering<br /><br />Skills & Experience</p><ul><li>Strong technical and analytical skills in power sector engineering</li><li>Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability</li><li>Sound knowledge of EPC, MEP Project Engineering</li><li>Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work under tight deadlines in complex project environments</li><li>10–15 years of relevant experience in EPC projects within the power sector, MEP works, Power Plants, Substations etc.</li><li>Strong exposure to engineering coordination across multi- disciplinary EPC environments. </li><li>Experience working with Construction Projects, utilities, IPPs, and large industrial clients is preferred.</li><li>Communications Liaise with superiors, peers, subordinates to understand and interpret business objectives.</li><li>Problem Solving: Must troubleshoot all challenges, roadblocks, conflicts that hinder achieving the last mile on time, and find alternate solutions to protect the Organizational Interests. Resolves issues with Internal/External Customers and staff.</li></ul><p>Responsibilities:<br />Engineering Management</p><ul><li>Lead end-to-end engineering activities for EPC power projects, including conceptual design, basic engineering, and detailed engineering.</li><li> Ensure engineering deliverables align with project scope, contractual requirements, applicable codes, and statutory regulations.</li><li> Review and approve technical documents such as design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical datasheets.</li></ul>Project Coordination<ul><li>Coordinate closely with procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution.</li><li>Support procurement by reviewing technical bid evaluations, vendor drawings, and material submittals.</li><li>Provide engineering support during construction, including site queries, design clarifications, and issue resolution.</li></ul>Quality, Safety, and Compliance<ul><li>Ensure compliance with national and international standards (IEC, IEEE, IS, ASME, etc.) and client specifications.</li><li>Promote design safety, constructability, and operability principles across engineering activities.</li><li>Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and value engineering exercises.</li></ul>Stakeholder and Client Management<ul><li>Act as the primary engineering interface with clients, consultants, and statutory authorities.</li><li>Participate in technical meetings, progress reviews, and coordination discussions with internal and external stakeholders.</li></ul>Team Leadership and Development<ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers across disciplines.</li><li>Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones.</li><li>Drive standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement in engineering processes.</li></ul>Cost and Schedule Control<ul><li>Support project planning by defining engineering schedules, resource requirements, and deliverables.</li><li>Monitor engineering progress and proactively mitigate risks impacting project timelines and costs</li></ul><h3>experience</h3>15
