Responsibilities :
• Ensure Legal and Statutory compliance with regard to all activities connected with Import by
filing BE and all Returns on time, paying applicable duties and taxes, following the rules &
procedures etc.
• Arrange end-to-end import process for goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and ...
compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure accurate documentation and timely delivery of products.
• Work with customs brokers (CHA) to facilitate the customs clearance of goods .
• Monitor shipments and track import timelines to prevent delays and ensure on-time delivery.
• • Identify risks like anti-dumping duty, BIS requirement etc. and advise the management
how to avoid or address them.
• Liaison with customs dept. , whenever necessary, for smooth functioning of daily import
activities.
• Handle Audit conducted by Customs Dept.
• Establish system and process to support Import activities whenever there is change in rules
and procedures.
• Submit replies to Letters / Queries/ Show Cause Notices issued by Customs Department.
• Litigate disputed matters at appropriate forum and file appeals before Appellate Tribunals
and High Court through leading attorneys for favourable order .
• Stay updated on the latest trade and tariff regulations. Watch Customs , GST, DGFT
Notifications/circulars / public notices / policy changes on regular basis and pick up the points
useful to the company and initiate actions to get the possible financial benefit.
• Monitor all activities of Bonded Warehouse (MOOWR) and ensure proper record
maintenance and submission of returns.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and make contribution for the growth of the company.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Education
• PG / MBA ( Preferably with International Business) / LLB
Experience
• 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing domain .
