Technology makes society less humane. It is increasingly impacting and changing the way people work, according to a Randstad Workmonitor survey. Nearly 75 percent of survey respondents felt technology makes society less humane. The survey of over 600 people showed 81 percent of the female respondents felt this way compared with 71 percent of males, said a release from the recruitment company Randstad, which does this quarterly survey for various countries.
Moorthy K Uppaluri, MD & CEO, Randstad India, said, “While keeping up with technology is imperative in today’s business environment, corporates must ensure that this does not replace human interaction. The ideal scenario would be when we can bring both these together to a harmonious balance to achieve the organisational objectives.”

A recent survey by Randstad Workmonitor revealed that a majority of professionals (75 percent) feel technology makes the society less humane.A higher number of female respondents (80 percent) opined this than males (71 percent). Seventy one percent mentioned that the omnipresence of technology at the workplace makes them feel less connected to their co-workers and 75 percent mentioned that even outside work, they feel disconnected from people in the real world owing to the pervasiveness of technology.
