Quality Management System (QMS) & Compliance
Serve as the Management Representative for the Quality Management System (IATF 16949-2016 and ISO 14001-2015).
Plan, coordinate, and manage all customer audits (including specific audits like Maruti Suzuki, VW) and audits by certification bodies.
Conduct and manage Internal Quality Audits and ensure their effective execution to determine QMS adequacy.
Lead efforts to maintain compliance with standardized work, plant policies, and different quality systems, including VDA 6.3-2016.
Arrange and conduct QMS-related training at all organizational levels.
Provide a summary of internal quality performance for management review.
Customer & Supplier Quality Management
Act as the champion for problem-solving activities related to both customer and supplier complaints.
Lead the resolution of customer complaints by effectively making and submitting 8D reports with concern documents within the required time frame.
Conduct Product and Process Audits at supplier ends for pressing, welding, powder coating, plating, and raw material suppliers as per plan.
Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects (e.g., process analysis, value stream mapping, 6-Sigma, Kaizen) to increase capability.
Responsible for new part and process development, including conducting PPAP activity at the supplier end and managing PPAP activity for customers at the organization.
Manufacturing & Process Quality
Responsible for quality in the press shop for stamping and weld assembly parts.
Oversee on-line inspection of components and ensure adherence to process requirements.
Review and monitor inward, in-process, and final inspection activities, including safe launch activities.
Lead trouble-shooting for press shop stamping and welding related process and product problems on the shop floor.
Responsible for manufacturing process controls and process variables, including reviewing and monitoring layout inspection, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and calibration activities.
Responsible for daily and monthly monitoring and analysis of COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) and In-house rejection, developing and executing action plans to reduce them.
Co-ordinate with the design department for new development parts regarding measurement and manufacturing feasibility with the customer.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Manage and lead the Quality team (Team handling experience is required).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools like 5S, Kaizen, and Lean manufacturing (VSM & VSD).
Generate graphical representations of customer complaints, in-house rejection PPM, and customer end PPM for analysis and reporting.
