Role Description
The Quick Commerce Assistant Station Manager provides crucial support to the Station Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a quick commerce delivery station (dark store/micro-fulfillment center). This role involves assisting with team supervision, inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining operational efficiency. The Assistant Station Manager will play a key role in ensuring smooth workflows, resolving immediate operational issues, and contributing to the achievement of station KPIs under the guidance of the Station Manager.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in operations, logistics, warehousing, retail, or a similar fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in quick commerce, e-commerce, or food delivery operations is a plus.
Job Requirement
Operational Support:
o Assist the Station Manager in overseeing daily station activities, including receiving, inventory, picking, packing, dispatch, and last-mile delivery.
o Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all operational tasks.
o Monitor real-time order flow and delivery progress, escalating issues to the Station Manager as needed.
o Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the station.
o Support in the efficient utilization of station resources.
Team Supervision & Guidance:
o Supervise and guide a team of pickers, packers, and delivery riders in their daily tasks.
o Assist in training new team members on operational procedures and safety protocols.
o Provide constructive feedback to team members and help resolve minor conflicts.
o Assist with roster management and tracking team attendance.
Inventory Assistance:
o Support accurate inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and cycle counts.
o Help minimize inventory discrepancies and waste.
o Assist in organizing stock efficiently to facilitate quick picking.
Problem-Solving:
o Identify and address minor operational issues and bottlenecks promptly.
o Escalate complex problems or critical incidents to the Station Manager for resolution.
o Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements.
Technology & System Usage:
o Proficient in using relevant operational software, including warehouse management systems (WMS) and delivery management platforms.
o Ability to accurately input data and generate basic reports.
Communication & Collaboration:
o Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and the Station Manager.
o Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Adaptability & Reliability:
o Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
o Reliable and punctual, with a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Requirement
Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role within an operations or retail setting.
Basic understanding of KPIs relevant to quick commerce operations.
