Role & Responsibilities (What the candidate is supposed to do on the job) :<br />• Work closely with account management/customers to develop a workable exhaust system layout and to identify and resolve system-level issues. Act as engineering face to customer.<br />• Work closely with the manufacturing team and customer to finalize design which is feasible to manufacture.<br />• Generate/maintain detailed models of designs and system level Bill of Materials.<br />• Generate specifications for product (2D prints, Engineering specifications, etc)<br />• Initiate and coordinate the technical support work (including bellow design, flow and vibration testing, etc.)<br />• Ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) is implemented in development of design (DQR, DVA, Design Reviews, etc)<br />• Finalize DVP & R with customers and lead to complete the tests such as RLDA, temperature drop, vibration etc<br />• Experience in field failure analysis<br />• Maintain and manage project schedules.<br />• Travel to customer and supplier sites as necessary, perform on-site testing, and present our technology.<br />• Review/Approve/Process Customer Print Conformance<br /><br />5. Skill sets required (What are the skills required to do the job):<br />QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:<br />• CAD modeling/Print creation<br />• Project management skills.<br />• Independent, motivated, customer focused.<br />• Excellent problem-solving skills.<br />• Solid communication skills, written and oral.<br />• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.<br />• Ability to work in cross functional team environment.<br />• Good computer skills with Office applications.<br /><br />EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:<br />• BS Mechanical Engineer or equivalent educational degree is required.<br />• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics required.<br />• 4 to 8 years of experience related to product design using solid modeling tools (Inventor<br />preferred).<br />• Basic understanding of exhaust systems and bellows (preferred).<br />• Basic knowledge of vehicle chassis systems (preferred).<br />• Basic knowledge of exhaust components/after treatment (preferred)<h3>experience</h3>8
