- The ME Process Engineer is responsible for defining and establishing machining processes for production lines.
- Instituting and implementing process improvements to address increased levels of productivity, quality and driving cost reductions are critical to the role holder.
- Responsible for design, facilitation and implementation of existing / new process in production lines.
- Responsible for study and implementation of capacity management activities for planned and projected production requirements and business objectives.
- Plan, develop and implement projects to improve productivity, increase process efficiency, reduction in employee fatigue.
- Ensure documentation of processes in authorized formats and provide inputs / feedback on process changes / improvement activities.
- Study requirement for process improvements, changes, gaps in production lines along with production, quality and other functions.
- Prepare and provide plan on timelines, milestones and other stages including trial runs and implementation.
- Design production process / process flows including production cycle time reduction, increase in automation, elimination of non value adding activities based on business priorities and requirements.
- Define in detail stage wise production process for approvals from various stakeholders including alternate process flows as necessary and relevant.
- Ensure rigorous trial and error testing of new process (including capability study) is carried out and attend to any issues, bottlenecks that arise during testing procedures.
