<p>Job Title: Design Engineer - Mechanical </p><p>Location: Bengaluru </p><p>Department: Engineering / Mechanical Systems </p><p>Reports To: Principal Engineer  </p><p>Job Type: Full-Time </p><p>Job Summary: </p><p>We are seeking a skilled and Innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal  candidate will be responsible for the Designing, Developing, and improving mechanical systems, components  and products that meets functional, cost, quality and safety requirements for refuse collection vehicles used in  industry/application, e.g., heavy machinery, & automotive. This role requires a strong foundation in Mechanical  engineering principles, CAD modelling, Structural Design- sheet metal, GDnT, system integration. </p><p>Key Responsibilities: </p><p>• Structural design and development for heavy industrial equipment </p><p>• Structural analysis by performing FEA using Creo to validate the design. </p><p>• Welded joint design, application of AWS Standards </p><p>• Material, OEM Items selection according to the application </p><p>• 3D CAD modeling & 2D detailing according to ASME Y14.5 standards with proper GD&T. </p><p>• Hydraulic hose and tube routings according to the schematics </p><p>• PDM/PLM, Following ECR/ECOs process according to the company standards. </p><p>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, electrical, supply chain) to ensure  design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles are applied. </p><p>• Support prototyping, testing, and design validation activities. </p><p>• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization in design solutions. </p><p>• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety norms. </p><p>• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and DFMEA/DFSS processes. </p><p>• Provide technical support during product launch and throughout the product lifecycle. </p><p>Qualifications & Skills </p><p>• Bachelor’s degree (MTech , B.E/B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). </p><p>• Proven experience in mechanical product design and development. </p><p>• Proficiency in CAD tools (Creo/Windchill & SolidWorks). </p><p>• Knowledge of FEA tools Creo Simulate (ANSYS an added advantage.) </p><p>• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (Sheet metal, & welding). </p><p>• Familiarity with ASME drawing standards. </p><p>• Hands-on experience in creating DFMEA. </p><p>• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. </p><p>• Ability to work independently, and collaborate with team.</p><p> </p><p>• Mid-Level: 4–7 years in product design, automotive, machinery,  </p><p>• Senior Engineer: 7+ years with leadership in design projects and mentoring junior engineers. </p><p>Key Competencies </p><p>• Creativity & Innovation </p><p>• Technical expertise in mechanical systems </p><p>• Attention to detail </p><p>• Project management and multitasking </p><p>• Collaboration and cross-functional teamwork</p><h3>experience</h3>8
