Job title: Design Engineer / Sr. Engineer

Purpose of the Job – (What is to be achieved from this Position/Job title i.e. Key Result Areas of the position): -

• On Time release of projects.
• Development of new features in the existing machine.
• New product development.
• To assist manager for training of newly joined team members on products and ERP.
• Collaboratively work with other teams/departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Release of drawings & BOM based on the final OC, Approved GAD and P&ID.
• Site visit for learning equipment and understand the customer needs.
• Release of peripheral equipment based on equipment data sheets.
• Calculations to support design changes made in existing machines.
• Calculations to support design validation in new development projects.
• Up-to-date knowledge of new/alternate products to be used as substitute for existing parts.
• Standardization of existing products to reduce the variants.
• Conduct review meetings with all stakeholders for modifications/ new products to avoid ambiguity.
• Interact with other team members to meet and optimize product design requirements.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Hands on experience in 3D modelling in Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, Solid Works etc.
• Hands on experience in Auto-cad.
• Experience in design and engineering in similar OEM’s.
• Experience in PLM Soft wares (Vault & NAV).

Specific Technical Skills Required

• 3D modelling and 2D drawings.
• Understanding of GAD.
• Understanding of P&ID diagrams.
• Tolerance and applied knowledge of GD&T.
• Sheet metal fabrication and general machining procedures.
• Knowledge of welding procedures.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Strength of materials calculations.
