<p>Job Title: Engineering - Specialized - Packaging Design Engineer<br /><br />  Job Description: This position designs and develops returnable and expendable packaging for individual piece parts and bulk shipping.  Proper packaging design includes part containment, protection, and optimization of transportation and other supply chain functions.<br /><br />  Key Responsibilities:</p><p>- Develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted components.<br />- Collaborate with suppliers to define and implement export packaging solutions.<br />- Conduct containerization analysis and provide cost estimates.<br />- Support feasibility studies for various package options based on commodity type.<br />- Resolve safety and quality issues arising from current packaging.<br />- Address issues reported by customers and process partners.<br />- Research and implement new techniques and technologies, including materials, to continually improve container/trailer packaging capability.</p> <br /> <h3>experience</h3>5

Key Responsibilities:<br />1. Monitor, Investigate and resolve Process issues  <br />2. Own and lead Productivity improvement.<br />3. Create rolling capacity forecast and action plan to meet the demand<br />4. Lead Value stream mapping (VSM /MIFA) process for the value stream<br />5. Carryout periodic cycle time study and capacity revisit<br />6. Identify & lead process automation/ I4.0 projects<br />7. Carryout periodic shopfloor audit to ensure process standards <br />8. Create, review periodically and maintain manufacturing documentation including PFMEA, Control plan, work instructions and standard operating procedures.<br />9. Lead ECN change implementation activities related to Production / shopfloor in PLM<br />10. Own and lead manufacturing change approval in PLM after validating the changes in production environment<br />11. Maintain BOM for the product<br />12. Create and maintain shop floor layouts, tools and fixture CAD drawings<br />13. Support new product development activities<br />14.
