Key Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems such as pumps, gearboxes, blowers, conveyors, rotary equipment, valves, and chillers.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify root causes and carry out timely repairs.
Carry out equipment alignment and balancing procedures as required.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including checklists, service logs, and spare parts usage.
Coordinate with other technicians and departments to support plant operations and maintenance planning.
Participate in equipment overhauls, installations, and mechanical improvement projects.
Assist in maintaining an inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
Key Requirements:
Practical experience with:
Pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement, etc.)
Gearboxes and drive systems
Industrial blowers and chillers
Conveyors and material handling systems
Rotary equipment and mechanical seals
Valves (manual and actuated)
Skills in:
Preventive and breakdown maintenance
Shaft alignment and basic dynamic balancing
Basic mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics
Must be willing to perform hands-on maintenance activities in a plant or industrial setting.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
Understanding of mechanical safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
