JOB Responsibilities/Main KRA:
- Process Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control plans and procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions: Lead investigations into process-related quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and SPC (Statistical Process Control) to enhance process capability and reduce variability.
- Audits & Compliance: Conduct internal process audits to ensure adherence to quality management systems (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements. Support external audits as needed.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed quality reports, analyze data, and present findings to management. Maintain accurate documentation of quality procedures, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) Support: Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure quality considerations are integrated from the design phase through to mass production. Participate in APQP activities (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
- Supplier Quality (as needed): Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components, addressing any supplier-related quality issues.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or equivalent).
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or related industry.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as IATF 169949 and/or ISO 9001.
- Proficiency in core quality tools and methodologies: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
- Proven experience in root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone diagrams).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
