Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer in FEA Simulation to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong theoretical foundation and hands-on experience in Finite Element Analysis. You will be responsible for independently handling complex simulation tasks, providing critical design recommendations, and ensuring the structural integrity and durability of our products.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage and execute FEA simulation tasks by analyzing problem statements and defining expected outputs.
Construct and solve high-fidelity FEA models of our products, providing clear and actionable recommendations to the Product Engineering team to ensure designs meet all performance metrics.
Demonstrate strong competency in conducting Linear and Non-linear Static Stress analyses, as well as Linear Dynamics modeling for strength and durability assessments.
Must have practical exposure to High-cycle and Low-cycle Fatigue failures and be able to analyze and mitigate risks associated with them.
Utilize and apply best practices for software including Abaqus, FE-Safe, and Hypermesh, showcasing a strong understanding of their capabilities and procedures.
Leverage a sound engineering background with a strong foundation in Structural Mechanics and Material Science to inform simulation decisions.
Communicate effectively by converting complex simulation results into clear and concise technical reports for key stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineering teams from various departments to ensure seamless integration of simulation findings into the product development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on experience in FEA simulation.
Industry Background: Must have experience in the Compressor, Automotive, or Heavy Machinery industries.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency with leading FEA software, particularly Abaqus, FE-Safe, and Hypermesh.
Strong knowledge of Linear & Non-linear Static Stress analysis and Linear Dynamics modeling.
Proven experience with fatigue analysis (High-cycle and Low-cycle).
A solid grasp of Structural Mechanics and Material Science.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to produce clear technical reports.
Programming (Added Advantage): Python programming and scripting skills are a plus.
