Job Title: Fetal Medicine Specialist / Consultant – Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fetal Medicine Specialist for a 250 bedded multi-specialty hospital, to provide expert diagnostic, consultative, and therapeutic services in the management of high-risk pregnancies and fetal anomalies. The role focuses on advanced fetal imaging, prenatal diagnosis, counseling, and intervention when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive fetal assessments using advanced ultrasound, Doppler studies, and other diagnostic modalities.
- Diagnose fetal anomalies, genetic disorders, and high-risk pregnancy complications.
- Provide specialized counseling to expectant parents on fetal conditions, prognosis, and management options.
- Perform invasive fetal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and fetal blood sampling.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, and genetic counselors for multidisciplinary care planning.
- Engage in fetal therapy and intrauterine interventions if trained and credentialed.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient care and procedures.
- Participate in prenatal screening programs and development of clinical protocols.
- Contribute to the education of obstetrics residents, fellows, and other healthcare staff.
- Stay updated with current research, clinical guidelines, and advancements in fetal medicine.
Qualifications:
- MBBS and MD/MS in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- DM / Fellowship in Fetal Medicine or Maternal-Fetal Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2-5 years of post-fellowship experience preferred.
- Certified in advanced obstetric ultrasonography.
- Valid medical license to practice in [State/Region].
