Key Responsibilities
- Field Surveys:Conduct physical surveys to determine land boundaries, topography, and features using specialized equipment.
- Data Analysis & Mapping:Analyze field data, perform calculations, and create detailed maps, plans, and reports using CAD and GIS software.
- Legal Research:Investigate historical land records, property titles, and legal restrictions to establish legal boundaries and ownership.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication:Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors to understand requirements and present survey results and recommendations.
- Project Management:Plan and execute survey projects, manage survey teams, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Equipment Maintenance:Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education:Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related field.
- Professional License:A valid surveyor's license is often required.
- Technical Proficiency:Expertise in land surveying software (like SurveCE or FieldGenius), GPS, and GIS systems.
- Analytical Skills:Strong abilities in mathematics, geometry, and physics are essential for data analysis and calculations.
- Problem-Solving:Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to address challenges in land measurement and data interpretation.
- Communication Skills:Effective verbal and written communication to interact with clients and team members.
