Roles & Responsibilities :
To lead the engineering function for the services business in the water and wastewater solutions domain, focusing on O&M, spares, and retrofit jobs. The role ensures technical excellence, cost-effective engineering, and customer-centric solutions to support lifecycle services and business growth.
Engineering Leadership: Lead and manage the engineering team for service projects including retrofit, O&M technical support, and spares.
Ensure high-quality, fit-for-purpose, timely engineering deliverables for all service offerings.
Develop and implement standardized design processes, tools, and templates for service solutions.
Retrofit Projects: Conduct technical assessments for retrofit jobs, ensuring performance upgrades, energy efficiency, or compliance with new regulations.
Collaborate with sales, execution, and procurement to offer cost-effective and technically viable retrofit solutions.
Support site teams during execution and commissioning of retrofit jobs.
Spares Management: Define and maintain spares BOMs (Bill of Materials) for installed base.
Work with SCM to standardize and localize critical components.
Ensure technical validation of alternate/obsolescence replacement parts.
O&M Support: Provide technical support to O&M sites in troubleshooting and optimization.
Define SOPs and technical manuals for plant operation.
Drive digitalization of operations by supporting integration of IoT, remote monitoring, and analytics.
Stakeholder Management: Interface with clients during solutioning and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders Sales, Project Execution, SCM, Quality, R&D.
Represent engineering in monthly business reviews.
Team Development: Build technical capability of the engineering team.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer orientation.
Mentor and coach team members for succession planning and growth.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies (STP, ETP, RO, UF, DM, ZLD, etc.)
Experience in design and execution of retrofit/modification jobs
Knowledge of relevant standards (BIS, ASME, IS, ASTM etc.)
Excellent leadership, planning, and decision-making skills
Ability to handle cross-functional coordination and client interactions
Exposure to digital tools, automation, and data-driven service models preferred
