Position: General Manager (Head - Estimation) – Transmission & Distribution Current Profile: Responsible for the estimation of Transmission Line, Substation, and Distribution Projects for both domestic (India) and international markets. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical) • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent is preferred • Professional certifications in project management or estimation (e.g., PMP, AACE) Experience: • Minimum of 18 years of experience in the Transmission & Distribution sector • Proven track record in the estimation of Transmission Line, Substation, and Distribution Projects • Excellent communication and presentation skills for management and client negotiations Relevant Technical and Management Experience: • Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ): Develop detailed and itemized lists of materials, parts, and labor required for projects, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness to facilitate precise cost estimation and project planning. • Scheduling: Create and manage project timelines, ensuring that all phases of the project are completed on time. This includes coordinating with various teams and stakeholders to align schedules and meet deadlines. • Vendor Negotiation and Tie-Up: Engage with vendors to negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure the best possible deals and ensure timely procurement of materials. • Subcontractor Negotiation and Tie-Up: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with subcontractors to secure their services for various project components.
