Position Overview The Purchase Head for the Sofa Division will be responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement strategy for all raw materials, components, and goods required for sofa and upholstered furniture manufacturing. This role involves sourcing high-quality materials-such as timber, foam, fabrics, leather, mechanisms, and hardware-while optimizing costs, ensuring supply chain resilience, and maintaining strict quality standards. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: o Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and local suppliers for key sofa components (e.g., framing wood, premium upholstery fabrics, high-density foams, and recline mechanisms). o Negotiate long-term contracts, pricing, payment terms, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to maximize cost-efficiency. o Conduct regular vendor audits and performance evaluations based on quality, delivery timelines, and compliance * Inventory & Material Planning: o Collaborate with Production, Design, and Sales teams to forecast material requirements and prevent production bottlenecks or overstocking. o Implement efficient inventory management practices (e.g., Just-In-Time) to optimize warehouse space and cash flow. * Cost Optimization & Budgeting: o Develop and manage the annual procurement budget for the Sofa Division. o Analyze market trends, commodity price fluctuations (e.g., timber and chemical costs for foam), and currency risks to mitigate financial impact. * Quality Assurance & Compliance: o Ensure all procured materials comply with industry safety standards (e.g., fireretardant fabric certifications, sustainable wood sourcing like FSC). o Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team to resolve any material defects or supplier rejections swiftly
