• Strategic Quality Leadership:
  • Develop and implement the overall quality strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and regularly report on performance to senior management.
• Quality Management System (QMS):
  • Ensure the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the QMS in accordance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits (customer, certification bodies) and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
  • Oversee document control and record keeping for all quality-related processes.
• Product & Process Quality:
  • Drive APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities for new product introductions and engineering changes.
  • Implement and manage statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee incoming material inspection, in-process quality control, and final product inspection.
• Customer & Supplier Quality:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, leading root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa.
  • Manage supplier quality, including supplier selection, audits, performance monitoring, and development to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their quality expectations and ensure their satisfaction.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen to reduce defects, optimize processes, and enhance efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of problem-solving and proactive quality management throughout the organization.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
