<p>Job Title: Sr Engineer</p><p>Location: Bangalore<br />Department: Supply Chain<br />Reporting to: SCM Manager / Plant Head</p> <p> </p><p>Role Overview:</p><p>We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive SCM professional with hands-on experience in machining components sourcing, vendor development, and cost estimation. The ideal candidate should be able to manage supply chain operations for machined parts, ensure timely procurement at optimized costs, and closely coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support manufacturing efficiency. </p><p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Machining Procurement:</p><ul><li>Handle end-to-end procurement of machined components, castings, and fabricated parts.</li><li>Understand machining drawings and specifications to identify critical sourcing needs.</li><li>Evaluate vendor capabilities and allocate parts based on quality, lead time, and capacity.</li></ul><p>Costing & Estimation:</p><ul><li>Prepare detailed cost estimations for new and existing machined parts.</li><li>Analyze cost breakdowns (material, machining time, labour, overheads).</li><li>Collaborate with design and production teams to suggest cost optimization opportunities.</li></ul><p>Vendor Management:</p><ul><li>Develop and maintain relationships with machine shops, foundries, and fabrication vendors.</li><li>Conduct regular vendor audits in coordination with the Quality team.</li><li>Negotiate contracts and annual rate agreements with key suppliers.</li></ul><p>Operational Coordination:</p><ul><li>Coordinate with PPC and Production to ensure on-time availability of critical components.</li><li>Monitor supplier performance (OTD, rejection rate, lead time adherence).</li><li>Maintain procurement MIS and report key KPIs to management.</li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Experience:</p><ul><li>Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.</li><li>Experience: 3–6 years in SCM / Strategic Sourcing, preferably in a machine-building or heavy engineering environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and material selection.</li><li>Prior experience in cost estimation of machined parts is essential.</li></ul> <p>Key Skills:</p><ul><li>Technical reading of machining drawings.</li><li>Costing and pricing analysis.</li><li>Vendor development and negotiation.</li><li>ERP systems (SAP / Oracle preferred).</li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.</li></ul><h3>experience</h3>9

<p>Job Qualifications & Skills:</p><ul><li>Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering (Full Time) or equivalent.</li><li>5-9 years of proven experience in Electrical Power Systems Design in Renewables (Solar, Wind, Hydro, BESS) Power Generation or related industries.</li><li>Experience in New product development process and systems engineering, preferably in the Battery Energy Storage industry is plus.</li><li>Able to design, configure and validate Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) system, that to include component selection such as breakers, fuses and relays for DC and AC circuits, understanding of system architect, site layout, functional safety analyses, auxiliary load estimation and battery sizing/configuration.</li><li>In depth design experience on selection of Electrical components and associated interface including Batteries, Inverters, Inverter-duty Transformers, BMS, EMS, Low Voltage AC/DC switchgears, ensuring compliance to various IEC, NEC, IEEE, ANZ etc design standards.</li><li>Familiarity with industry standards such as NFPA 70, IEC 60364, UL 9540, IEC 62933.</li><li>Should have experience in designing Power flow arrangement, Single line diagram and control schematic.</li><li>Able to perform and review electrical studies as part of system design, including short circuit analysis, protection sizing, protection coordination, Harmonic and arc flash analysis.</li><li>Experience in MATLAB Simulink or EMTP-RV is a plus.</li><li>Knowledge of industrial control philosophies, and communication protocols.</li><li>Familiar with DFMEA process and RCA technique.</li><li>Experience in tools like JAMA, Jira, Test rail is a plus.</li><li>Possessing strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities for collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams and clients, and the capacity to</li><li>work seamlessly with global teams across diverse backgrounds and time zones.</li></ul><h3>experience</h3>8
