We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machine Operator to join our team in the Steel industry. This is a contract position based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, offering a proactive work environment for professionals with a strong background in machine operation.
Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain various types of machinery within a steel processing environment.
- Ensure efficient and safe operation of machines, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to meet quality and output standards.
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during machine operation and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality control and workplace safety.
- Potentially assist in training junior operators on machine functions and safety procedures.
- Diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology) or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 20 years of experience in machine operation.
- Proven expertise in operating various machines, including specific experience with CNC machines and general machine shop equipment.
- Strong understanding of steel industry processes and machinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English.
