We are looking for a skilled and experienced EV lab technician to join our team. As technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical/EV systems and equipment in various settings. You will also troubleshoot and diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
To be successful as an EV technician, you should have a solid knowledge of electrical principles and practices, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. You should also have good manual dexterity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. You should be able to work independently or as part of a team and follow instructions and procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses on electrical and electronic equipment, systems, and components, using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments.
- Receive or collect, as well as process, samples of electrical and electronic materials, products, or devices.
- Calculate test results, and log and report results using a computer or a manual system.
- Prepare and supervise experiments, simulations, and tests of electrical and electronic circuits and devices, following the instructions of trainers or instructors.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning or faulty electrical and electronic equipment, systems, and components, using hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Perform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessary, following the established standards and procedures.
- Order and maintain electrical and electronic supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage and handling of potentially hazardous substances.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies, and report any issues or incidents to the supervisor or manager.
- Maintain inventory and assist in 5S
Qualifications and Skills:
- ITI/Diploma in electrical engineering, electronics, or a electric vehicle or related feilds.
- Proven experience working as a lab technician in an electrical or electronic environment.
- Working experience in EV industry in service, manufacturing etc.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, theories, and applications.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety rules and procedures, and ability to follow them.
- Knowledge of using excel and word softewares.
- Skill in using hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Skill in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic equipment, systems, and components.
- Skill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with engineers, scientists, managers, and other staff members.
- Skill in working independently and as part of a team, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
