This role is critical to ensuring minimal downtime, maximizing equipment reliability, and supporting production goals through proactive and reactive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and Breakdown Maintenance:
- Diagnose and rectify complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on a variety of SPMs.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify the source of machine failures and implement effective, long-term countermeasures.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:
- Execute and optimize planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.
- Utilize predictive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging) to anticipate potential failures.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history records using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Equipment Improvement and Upgrades:
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, modifications, and process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to implement engineering changes and new equipment installations.
- Lead or support projects for the retrofitting or commissioning of new SPMs.
- Technical Expertise & Training:
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior engineers and maintenance technicians.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintenance manuals.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology, including PLC, HMI, and robotics.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in strict accordance with safety protocols and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
- Ensure all equipment and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
