Role Summary
  1. Reduced machine downtime and improved equipment reliability. 
  2. Effective preventive maintenance implementation. 
  3. timely resolution of breakdowns
  4. Improved safety and compliance in maintenance operations.
  5. Accurate documentation and reporting on maintenance activities.

Job Description

 

Minimum Education & Experience

  1. 4–8 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance (manufacturing/process plant preferred). 
  2. Exposure to TPM, PM systems, and plant utilities is an advantage.
  3. BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering.
  1. Effective team coordination and skill development
Primary Responsibilities
  • Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans (PMP) to reduce breakdowns. Perform urgent troubleshooting and repairs on complex machinery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor junior technicians, guiding them in troubleshooting and technical skill development.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of machine performance, repair logs, and maintenance schedules. Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety (HSE) standards. MR data preparation 
  • Spare Parts Management: Control maintenance tools and manage inventory of critical spare parts to ensure prompt repairs.
  • Technical Optimization: Utilize PLCs, specialized tools, and data analytics to optimize machine performance and improve efficiency.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with external agencies for equipment repairs, calibrations, and warranty service. 
  • Knowledge about problem solving techniques /root cause analysis or 5 why analysis.

  1. Knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance practices
  2. Electrical panels, motors, drives, PLC basics (as applicable)
  3. Hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, pumps, gearboxes
  4. Preventive and breakdown maintenance techniques
  5. Basic knowledge of utilities (DG set, boiler, AC, compressors – if applicable)
  6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  7. Team leadership and supervision abilities
  8. Good communication and coordination skills
  9. Time management and prioritization
