    Ensure availability of equipments through maintenance practices like CBM, PM and OBM. Ensure following of SMP / SOP, review them periodically. Inculcate safety culture among the team members. Plan maintenance budget and control by reviewing periodically. Address the repeated failures with permanent solution. Record equipment failures, brain storm, identify the root cause and implement CAPA. Identify the training need for the team, map competencies, arrange for internal / external training, review the effectiveness of the training. Encourage team to come out with improvements and innovative ideas on maintenance practices, support and guide them in making decisions. Ensure updation of documents, records and easy retrieval on requirement. Focus on self-development by continuously scanning for developments in technology process and systems. Communicate clearly the organisation goals to the team members and align them to achieve the goals. Arrange the necessary tools and resources to facilitate quality maintenance practices. Nurture future leaders from within the team To assess the performance of all the team members working under the “Head” through the performance assessment system instituted by the company. Be the leader in the change management in the department. Review and optimise spares inventory and ensure availability of critical spares. Participate in techno-commercial negotiations, get quality spares at lower cost. Listen and address the employee grievances & work closely with HR/Personnel. Sustenance of ISO systems with respect to maintenance. Carryout the modification proposals and document through Management of Change
