Job Responsibility :
- Machine and Tool Maintenance: Managing tool maintenance and the maintenance of various production machinery and product lines.
- Operational Maintenance: Overseeing production maintenance, preventive maintenance, and handling breakdown scenarios.
- Support: Providing quality maintenance and production support.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Plan and execute regular maintenance schedules (PM/PdM) to ensure equipment reliability. This includes maintaining history cards, spare parts status records, and machine loading plans to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Breakdown Management: Lead breakdown handling operations, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring issues, and implement corrective actions to reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
- Tooling/Mould Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and modification of tools and moulds, including coordination for mould trials, inserts, and performance testing.
2. Production & Technical Support
- Production Support: Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot machine-related issues, optimize cycle times, and support process trials for new products.
- Utility Operations: Manage plant utilities such as compressors, chillers, cooling towers, and power systems to ensure they support uninterrupted production.
- Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery, ensuring they meet operational specifications.
3. Compliance, Documentation & Systems
- Quality & Standards: Maintain comprehensive documentation for ISO audits, safety standards (EHS), and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- TPM & 5S: Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S methodologies to enhance shop-floor discipline and efficiency.
- Reporting: Regularly track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as machine availability, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and spare parts inventory levels.
4. Resource & Vendor Management
- Team Leadership: Coordinate daily job responsibilities for technicians and support staff, ensuring manpower is effectively utilized during shifts and breakdowns.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with OEMs, service providers, and Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) vendors to ensure quality service and timely procurement of critical spares.
- Cost Optimization: Manage the maintenance budget by optimizing spare parts inventory and identifying cost-effective repair solutions.
