2. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Overall management of the Forwarding Department including Marketing , Operations, Customer Service , Collections , Regulatory compliances, Vendor Management
• Managing Client Directory, Quotation, pricing, and furnishing weekly progress report to Management.
• Complete understanding of the procedures for the Forwarding Department: conducting vessel reconciliation and manifest procedures; supporting and facilitating smooth cargo readiness and delivery orders to ensure high levels of customer experience and avoiding additional costs
• Research potential new clients, make cold calls, engage with such clients , maintain record of such contacts through established CRM database .
• Build relationships, maintain and leverage existing network connections of client
• Manage client retention and enhance existing business relationship by offering new products and services including but not limited to adjacencies
• Manage customer service through timely information on their shipments and prompt handling of exceptions or concerns.• Work in close coordination with internal and external persons-in-charge on needed follow up to ensure smooth delivery of cargo to the customer as per agreed contract terms.
• Ensure proper and complete documentation and invoicing. Monitor billing and collection of completed transactions.
• Monitoring industry regulations and compliance issues related to importing and exporting goods.
• Meeting regularly with suppliers and customers to establish new business relationships or maintain existing ones.
