General Description / Misión
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to focus on the design, analysis, and homologation of critical mechanical components within the Pitch & Yaw systems, with a core focus on machinery elements such as bearings, gears, and couplings. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and performance of wind turbine drivetrain components.
Key Tasks / Funciones
Execute calculation and dimensioning activities for machinery elements, including bearings, gears, couplings, and brakes.
Manage the homologation of wind turbine drivetrain components to meet necessary standards and specifications.
Create detailed specifications, requirement specifications, and functional specifications for new and existing components.
Provide technical support to DFMEA activities specifically related to drivetrain systems and components.
Offer support to the Service department throughout the complete component lifecycle.
Required Profile / Perfil Requerido
Qualification/Training:
Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical).
Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical component design, stress analysis, or component homologation, preferably within the heavy machinery or wind energy sector.
Complementary Training & Skills:
In-depth knowledge of drive train components.
Familiarity with drive train calculation software is highly beneficial (e.g., Kisssoft, BearinX, Alaska).
Practical knowledge and experience using the DFMEA tool (APIS-iQ).
Demonstrated flexibility and dynamism in executing tasks.
Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate transverse communication skills.
Languages:
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Skills in German and Spanish are ideal but not mandatory.
