Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, plan, and execute mechanical maintenance, installation, and repair activities for all plant machinery, equipment, and utilities.
- Monitor and ensure smooth functioning of production equipment, including preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Lead a team of technicians and contractors in troubleshooting mechanical issues, ensuring quick resolution.
- Review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and equipment manuals for proper installation and upkeep.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, spares inventory, and equipment history for audits and cost control.
- Implement and enforce safety, health, and environmental guidelines for all mechanical operations.
- Coordinate with production, electrical, and civil teams during plant expansion or modification projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or supervision within a manufacturing or heavy engineering plant.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, compressors, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with preventive/predictive maintenance software (CMMS) and root cause analysis methods.
- Good understanding of ISO, Safety , and statutory compliance for manufacturing units.
