Job Title: Sr. Executive - Quality, Gears Chakan
Division - Gears, Chakan
This position is required to control and manage the metallurgical quality aspect of the components produced. The candidate will be required to work jointly with the production , New Product Development and Quality Control team to achieve the metallurgical parameters.
Job Summary:
- Testing and Detailed analysis of material.
- Ensure heat treatment cycles are done as per specified parameters and desired results are achieved.
- Process audits of raw material suppliers to ensure raw material is of desired quality.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (e.g., IATF, ISO, ISO/TS 16949, or other industry-specific standards).
- Oversee the execution of audits (internal and external) to verify the effectiveness of the quality system.
- Develop and manage the inspection process for raw materials, in-process goods, and final products.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to set up product specifications, review designs, and develop testing protocols for gears.
- Investigate customer complaints related to metallurgical quality and initiate corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualification - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Additional certifications (Six Sigma Black Belt, IATF, ISO) are highly preferred.
Experience - Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Metallurgy in auto component industry.
